Want your own Java Server to try?

The Minecraft Server download from Mojang is free (the client you have to pay for).

To try out your own server follow the basic steps below:

1. Check your Java Version - Before you install Minecraft check your Java is up do date by typing java -version from a command prompt in windows and checking here for the version.

If you are needing to do so, update your java first before continuing to install Minecraft.

2. Install Minecraft - Head on over to here for the latest 1.19.2 release of Minecraft from Mojang

3. Run Minecraft - Open a command prompt and type:

java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.1.19.2.jar nogui
